Boy With Squirrel, 1765
This is a painting by John Singleton Copley....18th century colonial painter; *squirrels* were often painted with a subject to show a sitter's dillegence with the presence of a domesticated animal. We looked at it last week in my american art history class and I just really liked it a lot..Americans do peculiar things...
